Good News: EPFO has launched Short Code SMS Services, now you can get your balances on your mobile phone. PF Claim form for less than 05 years membership and more than Rs 30000/- amount to be subject to TDS. A facility to Employers and Members to register the UAN related queries has been uploaded. अपने कर्मचारी भविष्य निधि खाते में खाता अपडेट होने की तिथि तक शेष जानने के लिए जिसमें निपटान/अग्रिम/अंत अंतरण/बाह्य अंतरण की अंतिम अनुमोदति राशि यदि कोई है, भी शामिल है, के लिए कृपया निम्नलिखित लिंक पर क्लिक करें ।
कर्मचारी भविष्य निधि संगठन कार्यालय का चयन करें जहां आपके खाते का रखरखाव किया जा रहा है तथा अपना भविष्य निधि खाता संख्याक प्रस्तुत करें ।
यदि आपके खाते में एक्सटैंशन सं. नहीं है तो उस कॉलम को खाली छोड़े ।
आपको अपना नाम तथा मोबाइल न. लिखने के लिए कहा जाएगा । दिए गए मोबाइल न. को भविष्य निधि खाता सं. के साथ रिकार्ड किया जाएगा ।

Friends it is very simple to do registration for your Universal Account Number, just follow the instructions given here for the same and you will be able to do the same.  These are as follows:-

  1. Visit the registration link or go to www.epfindia.com
  2. A new window opens make tick in “I have read and understood instructions” and “
  3. Then enter your UAN and Mobile Number (one mobile no. is used for 01 registration)
  4. After this give your Member Id details i.e. State and Office
  5. Then enter security code and click on Get Pin
  6. In last tick in “I agree” and enter authorization pin which comes in your mobile number
  7. Click on Submit Button
  8. Congrats your UAN Registration completes

How to Check UAN Status?

Solution: The registered members can check their status from link given below and enter the following information:-

  • Select your State, then City
  • Enter your 07 digit Establishment Code and 03 character extension and 07 digit Account Number.
  • You status will display in front of your computer screen

Objectives of UAN

Universal Account Number is generated by PF contributing members from 01/01/2014 to 30/06/2014 by EPFO.  Each member will be allotted a Member Identification Number (Member Id).

Advantages of UAN Registration

  • You can Download/ Print your Updated Passbook anytime.
  • Members can download or Print UAN Card.
  • You can list all your Member IDs.
  • You can File and view Transfer Claims.
  • Update your KYC information.

Important Points:

  • Members with authenticated Aadhaar and Bank details seeded against their UAN can now submit their PF Withdrawal/Settlement/Transfer claims online.

  • One mobile number can be used for one registration only.
  • A member can view the passbooks of the EPF accounts which has been tagged with UAN.
  • The facility of passbook is not available for members of establishments having exemption under the EPF Scheme 1952

About EPFO: 

The Employees' Provident Fund came into existence with the promulgation of the Employees' Provident Funds Ordinance on the 15th November, 1951. It was replaced by the Employees' Provident Funds Act, 1952. The Employees' Provident Funds Bill was introduced in the Parliament as Bill Number 15 of the year 1952 as a Bill to provide for the institution of provident funds for employees in factories and other establishments. The Act is now referred as the Employees' Provident Funds & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 which extends to the whole of Indian except Jammu and Kashmir.
