UPSC Exam Postponed: UPSC Civil Services IAS/ IPS/ IFS Prelims Exam Delayed

Latest News on UPSC 2014: UPSC exam post pone 2014 notice as the Government has taken major decision today not to include English Marks in Merit Lists and candidates who appeared in IAS Exam 2011 will also get chance to get appeared in 2015 IAS Exam.  These are the two major updates on UPSC 2014 Exam taken by govt of India.  Now marks scored in UPSC English Comprehensive subject are not included while preparing the Merit Lists and candidates have one more chance to get appear in IAS Exam 2015 who already appeared in 2011.  Some people are happy and some are still unsatisfied with this decision.  Amid mass protests for UPSC Civil Services Prelim Exam 2014 against the new exam pattern, the Government of India has decided to postpone the exam till a high level meeting persuades to solve the issue.  Previously Union Public Service Commission is going to conduct IAS Civil Services Prelim Exam 2014 on 24 August 2014.  Now this exam will be delayed by a month or a new date will be issue to conduct this UPSC Exam.   There is a problem regarding the syllabus pattern of Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) also raised Indian Parliament. The exam is of 200 marks of compulsory papers CSAT I and CSAT II.  The Syllabus of CSAT II is much above the 10th standard.  The candidates who clear this UPSC Civil Services Prelim Exam are appointed as Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS).  The Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, S K Sarkar, Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), and officials from the PMO and Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) attended the meeting and there was a discussion to resolve the issue.  According to sources a decision on whether or not to change the syllabus of civil services examination and postpone the UPSC Preliminary Test to be held on August 24, is likely to be taken soon.
